How to add applications to the "Open with" popup item?

Klaus Schrod
Hello,

in the context menu to each picture there is an "Open with" item.
When I am using SuSE packages the application were added to the menu item.

But I had to complie my favorite picture viewer for my self and I want
to use it inside of digikam. So how can I add a picture/movie viewer to
the dialog?

Maybe this is a general KDE question, I don't know. But even in this
case I would be glad for every hint.

thanks

Klaus

You can do it using KDE preferences. Open KControl and select KDE
Components -> File Asociation ( these are the translated names from
Spanish to English) and look for all file extensions you want and then
change the apps and /or the order for these.
