How do I get my metadata in XMP files

Rinus
If I do this:

Settings -> Configure Digikam -> Metadata -> metadata writing mode ->
Write to XMP sidecar only

and than:

Tools -> write metadata to all images

Why do I not see consequently any XMP files alongside the image files?

Or: How do I get my metadata in XMP files?

Rinus

XMP sidecar management is not yet fully complete. It's possible that
my implementation do not support it or a bug appear.

Look like my message in relevant entry is clear :

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=220545#c67

Reading support must be fine, Writing support not yet.
