How do I force refresh video thumbnails?

Jens Benecke-2
Hi,

I accidentally imported video files into Digikam before they were
rotated correctly (= re-encoded using HandBrake with correct settings).
So I encoded again, preserving timestamps (I want to do this) and
replaced the respective files.

But the thumbnails are still upside down and no amount of F5 or
refreshing updates them.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Digikam 4.14.0 on Ubuntu LTS 14.04.

Thank you!

Maik Qualmann
The mistake of not updated video thumbnails is already fixed in the upcoming
digiKam 5.0.0 version.

Re: How do I force refresh video thumbnails?

Hi,

thank you!
I cannot yet upgrade or test 5.0 because it doesn’t work on Ubuntu LTS 4.14 - but I’ll upgrade as soon as LTS 16.04.1 is out.
Is there a workaround for Digikam 4.14?

Thanks!

See here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358577#c9
But that will change the modification date of the video files.
