HTML gallery export

Gremlin
Hi

New user to DigiKam, I would appreciate some assistance with modifying the content of the classic Gallery template.

What I would like to do is use the classic template, but include my own additional html content in the header and footer, like a logo, some text and Google tracking IDs.

I tried placing my html in the body section of the template, but it is overwritten and lost each time I export using the template.  Is there a more correct way of doing this?  I can't find anything in the online manual...

Cheers

Hi

Many thanks for your reply - but I have fallen at the first hurdle!

I am using a Mac and, despite looking for hidden files/folders, I can’t find the /themes folder anywhere, including inside the DigiKam package.

Having read the documentation, please correct me if I am wrong (probably!), even if I could find where the themes were stored, I can’t simply copy an existing one and then paste my existing html code into it - instead, I have to translate it into xsl format?

Cheers

The digiKam install path is located in /opt/digikam into macos. the xsl files will be stored in a sub dir from this path.

yes, and you need to use another filename as new entry template file. I will automatically add to the list in the tool. The path is scanned at startup.

Thanks, found it!!

Have copied the template but again, I assume I can't paste the required html in to my "new" template.  Instead, I have to learn some xsl to have all the lines added...?

Is there any way at all, within DigiKam, to have a "standard" block of html inserted into chosen templates?  If not, could this functionality be considered in a future version, so that simple people like me could just paste in a block or add a logo or a disclaimer or copyright notice etc?

Cheers
