I'm trying to use the grouping function, and did group manually several versions (RAW, TIFF and JPEG) of the same picture.
This seems to work fine for most of them, but for a particular group, the pictures are now completely hidden, and I cannot make them reappear in Digikam. I can visualize and open them outside Digikam, but not from inside the program. Even after having refreshed, and exit/relaunch Digikam. How can I make the 'lost' pictures reappear? More generally, it seems that RAW pictures are not considered as an ordinary item in the group: they are not counted in the total, and they don't appear in the list versions panel. Am I missing something? Thanks for your answers, Marie-Noëlle -- Une galerie photos, un blog ... pourquoi pas ? no comments on this? I have the same problem and need to have them reappear in the album. In fact, there are at least 2 groups Digikam don't find, but there might be others.
I won't use the grouping functionality again till I don't know how to make these pictures reappear. For the time being, I've added a comment and some attachments in the bug report https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=278927 Marie-Noëlle 2011/12/24 Andreas Mair <[hidden email]> Hi, -- Une galerie photos, un blog ... pourquoi pas ? Great finding! I hope this will bring a fix from the developers team in the near future.
I'm not sure what 'RMB context menu' is. If I understand correctly, I'll have to "clean" the database for the pictures I know are missing. But I don't know how to do that. When I removed these pictures out the Digikam album trees and did the refresh in Digikam, the wrong lines didn't seem to have been deleted from the DB. I guess I'll have to do that manually. But I need to know how to find them (the only thing I know for sure is the file name of my pictures), in which table(s) and what has to be edited or deleted. Thanks a lot for your help. You need to run some SQL statements in sqlite3 to delete them. I don't know if that might break some relations in the DB so I won't give you the exact SQL command, sorry. I can manage the SQL statements by myself, I think. But I'll need information regarding the DB structure: how can I find all the lines related to the pictures I want to delete, what are the relations between the different tables?
