I am wondering if the geotagging module ever coming back in digikam for Windows.

yes, typically in 5.8.0, i see a problem with MArble dedtection since this component have been updated while bundle compilation.

I fixed this. I will rebuild the 5.8.0 pre-release installer while this week end.
