Geolocation

Bugzilla from collinm@laboiteaprog.com
hi,

i use digikam 1.7

in a travel (october) i was in the south of the France, i think it's GMT+01:00
my gps (qstarz) use UTC+0 time zone

my system use UTC+1
my camera time zone are UTC+1

in digikam, geolocation, correlator, i selected: same as system

so digikam will change time value of the gps file UTC+0 to UTC+1?

thanks

Yes, it should account for the time zone difference, and effectively
change the time in the gps time stamps to UTC+1.

If you want to make sure the time zone offsets are correct, check
whether the first and last images of a trip got coordinates. If you took
photos shortly after turning your GPS on, having the wrong offset
usually results in no coordinates being found for them.
