I'm back home and will try to compile digikam soon (after backing my database :-) but I can say on my other computer I could compile the 2.0 version and launch it, but there I have no image collection, and no data base, so I couldn't try to *use* it :-) jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.youtube.com/user/jdddodinorg http://jdd.blip.tv/ _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Gilles provided a place to put my documentation. For now I have not yet decided if it will be in plain text, html or something other. However I can say that I like your formatting a lot. Maybe I can adopt it. But I know nothing about wiki, if I look to the source of your code in my browser it looks an awfull lot of work, or is there a nice free tool to make it? However I will as a starting point just put a link in my doc to your doc, but I would nonetheless appreciate if you can introduce me in wiki. I can use it anyway and decide later if I use it for this very purpose, which I will do only if it is not to much time consuming. But I know nothing about wiki, if I look to the source of your a wiki is no more than a place where you can write online with minimal formatting, but what Gilles gives you is nearly the same as long as you are concerned for my own case, I can say Than digiKam 2.0 compile on openSUSE 11.4 with minimal work, but the git one do not. I will make some tests and give more infos tomorrow. the "digikam" executable in the core folder is only a wrapper and launch the old 1.8 version, if installed. So I couldn't run digikam from the compilation folder like I hoped (to have several version at the same time). I had to uninstall the 1.8 openSUSE version and run make install. Then digikam 2.0 run without visible problem. jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.youtube.com/user/jdddodinorg http://jdd.blip.tv/ _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Have a look there: http://www.dokuwiki.org/dokuwiki
Dokuwiki is very simple to use ... and to install/manage, too but you need an online server (not a problem for me as I already manage several little domains). Perhaps you can ask Gilles whether he can host a wiki on the Digikam server. I also compiled the 2.1 git version without any problem - the dependencies being the same as the 2.0, all where met from the beginning thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.youtube.com/user/jdddodinorg http://jdd.blip.tv/ _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
