When I try to edit a metadata template I cannot add info for 'Copyright' or 'Right Usage Terms'. Whenever I fill those in and hit OK or the + sign to add it, it simply disappears. I can add all of the other info, just not those two. I appreciate any thoughts.

Which version? I noticed this at one point, but it went away in beta 5
or 6 I think. And it's working in 1.0.0. Dan On Fri 08.Jan.10 08:27, spinsheet wrote: > >When I try to edit a metadata template I cannot add info for 'Copyright' or >'Right Usage Terms'. I am using 1.0.0-beta5. Is there a beta 6 that I should install?

Version 1.0.0 was released just before Christmas. That would be
preferred over any of the betas. On Fri 08.Jan.10 08:44, spinsheet wrote: > >I am using 1.0.0-beta5. Is there a beta 6 that I should install? > >dan-334 wrote: >> >> Which version? OK, I just installed 1.0.0 with the build date of Jan 2 2010 and the issue still persists. Perhaps I am entering it incorrectly. Under copyright I see that there are language choices. By default I see that it is on 'x-default', should this be changed to en-US? Does that even matter? After making the change, do I hit 'OK' or 'Replace'? I have tried all of the variations and so far, no luck. Any thoughts?
Thanks so much for your help. Todd

In digikam 1.0.0, there is neither Add nor Replace anymore. Only the dropdown box and a button to remove the entry for the current language. You just type, and it's added for the language currently selected. Select other language, type. x-default marks the default value. If you add only one entry, it's probably ok to use x-default or to use en-US. That's up to you. It's working now. After installing the latest 1.0.0 and then rebooting, it is working fine. Maybe the reboot was just a coincidence but it's working great now. Thanks everyone for your help!

You are simply not using digikam compiled from 1.0.0 source code then. The change was committed on Oct 10, SVN commit 1033676. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I'm running Sidux which is Debian Unstable. The packages upgraded through the various betas and now say 1.0.0. Is it possible that there's something old left on the system that's affecting it? Maybe I'll try removing digikam and kipi-plugins and then re-installing everything. -- Dan McDaniel [hidden email] Key fingerprint = E295 0313 A68F B6D6 FF33 DE51 27F2 9B91 F68A 1241 _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
