Hello,
I'm having problems with some items on the Colors sub-menu not working. I click on them, they seem to load, but whatever is loaded never seems to be ready to be used. The Defaults and OK buttons stay grayed out; the Digikam logo has each letter getting successively getting white; the mouse pointer is a double circle permanently rotating; the histogram's axes are displayed but otherwise remains blank. The Cancel button still works though. This happens with both JPG and NEF files. My camera is a Nikon D7000. I'm working with: - Kubuntu 12.04 base - KDE 4.11.2 from Kubuntu Backports - digikam: 4:3.3.0-0ubuntu1~ubuntu12.04+KDE4.11~ppa1 - Brightness/Hue/Color Balance/Levels Adjust/Color Negative/Black & White/White Balance don't work. - Auto-Correction/Curves adjust/Channels work. Any hint would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -- Philippe ------ The trouble with common sense it that it is so uncommon. <Anonymous> _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Problem is normally fixed in 3.4.0. Please update to last stable 3.5.0...

Thanks! But as far as I can tell, there are no PPA package more recent
than 3.3 on the "official" Kubuntu Backports PPA, or for that matter, on any other PPA. 3.4 is in Saucy; 3.5 is in Trusty. I am not up to upgrading to Saucy at this time and I am also not going to roll my own package. I guess I'll try some of the other tools. The GIMP works for my simple purposes... :-( Thanks anyway! -- Philippe On 11/19/2013 01:53 AM, Gilles Caulier wrote: > Problem is normally fixed in 3.4.0. Or try another distro. Ubuntu always so late at updating packages made me switch to Fedora a couple of years ago, and I have not regretted it since. Thanks! :-D
But changing to Fedora is the "same" as upgrading to Saucy... It's overkill for a single package and there are other considerations. Besides, I've used Fedora for a couple of years. It's a fine distribution, and I have no complaints. But I tend not to stray too far nor too long from Debian. :-) I'll figure out something eventually. Meanwhile, I've spent the day with Darktable. Nice stuff! -- Philippe ------ The trouble with common sense it that it is so uncommon. <Anonymous> On 11/19/2013 06:39 AM, Marie-Noëlle Augendre wrote: > Or try another distro. For me, it was not a single package: it was the same for Scribus at that time (I use it a lot to create photo-books), and now Darktable that releases new versions frequently. These three softwares are probably those I use the most and I cannot stay way behind when fixes and new functionalities are available so often.2013/11/19 Philippe Clérié <[hidden email]> Thanks! :-D -- _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
