Easy way to remove all tags from all images in some directory?

Bugzilla from gandalf.lechner@univie.ac.at
Hi all,

does anybody know an easy way to remove all tags from all images in some
directory? Within digikam it is a bit tedious with a deep tag hierarchy. Maybe
there is a command line possibility?

Any help appreciated!

Best,
Gandalf

If you mean embeded metadata into image files you can use _ExifTool_
via command line. Or Exiv2, but this tool cannot handle write to all
raw formats (my Canon cr2 RAWs not for example). Cheers,

Thanks for the hint, I'll try that.
