DualCore or QuadCore

Uwe Haider
It's time to change hardware - Athlon 1250 MHz isn't the real McCoy
anymore.

Now I'm wondering if digikam speeds up with a Quadcore? Or is a faster
DualCore the better choice?

buy a quad. Sooner or later you will make usage of all cores.

Re: DualCore or QuadCore

Gilles Caulier-4
For the moment, only libkdcraw for demosaicing operation is
parallelized with OpenMP

In the future, i plan to use OpenMp in digiKam core, for exemple in
thumbnails operations or filter computations as noise reduction for
ex.

So 2 cpu or 4 cpu will do the same at this moment for digiKam
