Direct insert on Digikam

Hi all,

Have Digikam any method or protocol for insert a single picture on my Album without launch the program?

Any hacks?

You can just move or copy one or more pictures into an existing folder
in the file system, or even create a new folder, but of course this
needs to be located below a folder which you have configured as a
collection. digikam just detects the new folder or the new images when
it starts next time.

No hacks required. ;-)

Thank you Martin,

but it is not a solution. I have some scripts for to make search/query at database of Digikam (get pictures from tags and others), because I would like to make a complete insertion on database.

I remember on digikam 2 o 3 (kde3) I can to make somethings like :

kioclient move my-picture.jpg digikamalbums://2013-10-11/my-picture.jpg

or similar, I dont remember well...

digikam 5.x drop KIO support. KIO is not portable and require a lots of run-time dependencies.

We use now multitreading to play with database.
