Digikam won't show any files

Hello.
After my problems with digikam not processing highlights correctly I
decided to move to KDE4 (I removed KDE3) - just because I want new
digikam ;). After I moved my digikam 0.9.4 stopped to show thumbnails of
images in my albums. I installed digikam-0.10.0_beta2-r2 and problem
didn't disappear - I still can't see any thumbnails and edit any image.
Slideshow shows images in albums.
When I am starting digikam in console I get this:

Lol, it was my fault I just had to click "Albums" tab at the left side
of the digikam window. It took me few hours to figure out what is wrong.
First time I installed digikam I didn't have to do this and the pictures
appeared automatically, therefore my confusion. Thanks :) Problem solved.

You should not have these messages, check if DBus and Hal are running.

Hehe, I fell for that one too. the albums are displayed but, because the
album tab isn't selected, clicking on an album doesn't display the photos.

I think that should be fixed before the release version.

If this is the problem:

After first start in KDE4, with fresh configuration, selecting any albums from
the left sidebar has no effect, but the introduction screen is shown; as soon
as tags or another tab on left sidebar is shown, problem disappears.

then it is fixed since a few days in svn (not in last beta)
