I've installed digikam under Opensuse. Still the pictures are marked as
geotagged, but there is no geotagging option. Also both in the left and right side the map icon is missing. Is there a way to fix this? I tried to install Digikam under windows and there it is, but I want to be able to use it in Opensuse Also, as others also have pointed out, there should be an easy way to set Album dates to the first/average/last picture date without going into every album. What is worse is that the album date is lost if you install the collection on another computer. I have found a sollution by copying the column with the dates in the datebase to the new datebase, but to do this you would hae to know dataprogramming. I suppose you mean the string "searching images by tags problem". I have tried
different options choosing breeze, oxygen etc. All the breeze packages are installed. I do not believe it is an iconproblem, since it is also lacking in the menusystem under browse. Here you have Meta+Ctrl+F1, Meta+Ctrl+F2 etc, but Meta+Ctrl+F8 is not there :-( Maybe I have overseen a setting. I woud be happy to get to know Svein torsdag 14. juli 2016 15.44.10 CEST skrev maderios: > On 07/14/2016 02:55 PM, Svein Hamnes Aaberge wrote: > > I've installed digikam under Opensuse. Buttons were present but not icons. For me, breeze-dark + lowkey themes works, i get sidebars and buttons icons. -- Maderios _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
I tried breeze dark, then the whole sidebar disappeared. But the menues where
the same. I have perfect sidebars (when I do not use breeze dark), they are only missing the globe/map icon. In the menues geotagging is also missing. Maybe it is a dependency which is not install (some geotagging packes), but I have not managed to find out. I can not find any package called plasma-breeze in Opensuse
https://software.opensuse.org/search?q=breeze&baseproject=openSUSE %3AFactory&search_devel=false&search_unsupported=false Do you use Opensuse? Svein, Which version of digikam are you using? To get geolocation in digikam 4.x it need to be built against Marble using qt4. Most new Linux distribution releases comes with Marble built with qt5 and therefore have geolocation disabled. To get it you first need Marble built with qt4 and then rebuild digikam against it with geolocation enabled. Also, digikam 4.x will now have a bug after changes in the Google Maps api/service that won't show Google Maps in digikam so you need to use the other maps in it. Geolocation and Google Maps work in digikam 5.x. /Philip On Jul 14, 2016 19:26, "maderios" <[hidden email]> wrote: On 07/14/2016 06:05 PM, Svein Hamnes Aaberge wrote: _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Unfortunately it is the other way around. Geolocation works perfectly in Digikam 4,but not in Digikam 5. I tried on 3 different computers with the same results. I can see the globe on the pictures I have geotaged in Digikam 4,that's all. Maybe I have to do something with Marble. I will check it out or maybe you have some suggestions. Svein

No icon on sidebar and more importantly no entry for geolocation anywhere in menus or right-click on image. Correction: filtering whether images are geotagged or not does work, but that really is the only place where I can find anything regarding geotagging and it's not very useful on its own, really. I didn't have marble installed, but installing marble and re-installing digikam didn't change a thing. If missing or having a "wrongly" compiled marble is causing that, it would be nice if it were included in the dependencies (I guess I have to go for the packagers for that?) or at least something like an error message came up. On the plus side, digikam 5 is running much faster on my machine then digi 4 did the last few months or so... :-) -- Schöne Grüße, Andreas Ege _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
The Geolocation feature is enabled during build so it's up to the package maintainer to include the feature or not for what ever reason. You should be able to see if it was enabled during build by checking Digikam > Help > Component Information and see if Marble is listed in the components. If your version of Digikam doesn't have it then Marble shouldn't be listed with a version number. /PhilipOn Thu, Jul 21, 2016 at 7:52 PM, Andreas T. The problem is solved now. The problem was that the firts versions og Digikam 5
in Opensuse was compiled without Marbel-support. The last version is compiled with marble-support :-) Svein torsdag 21. juli 2016 21.11.00 CEST skrev Andreas T.
