Hello Digikam-Team,
I use the Version 0.6.0 of Digikam in german language. It is a great program, which is very good to handle my digital photos. In the normal case I see my folders and photos sorted by the date of creation. But now I have a problem. I want to archive my photos an a CD. Within your program is an opportunity to do that. However, under the point Album-->Archive on CD (or something similar) within your program the folders are sorted by name and not by date. How can I archive my photos periodically by using a sorting by date and not by name? Hello again,
thank you jdd for your answer. The sorting by date for example in K3b or in Konquerer is not the same like in Digikam. I sorted a folder in Digikam by date and the same folder in k3b by date too. But the order of this folder with it's photos and subfolders is differently in both programs. Apparent Digikam uses another date to sort than K3b or Konquerer. Notice, the order in Digikam (sorted by date) is the right one, which i do prefer. There must be another solution for my problem. Have you one? with best regards Marko Am Samstag, 14. Hello jdd,
I'm sorry, but unfortunately I do not speak french, so I could not understand Your linkend homepage http://dodin.org/mediawiki/index.php/CEDA. I do not understand Your clue with jhead too, because I do not want to change my photos or information which are included in them, just burn the photos on cd. Do you know another solution for my problem. Have you not the same difficulty with the order by date like I have, if You want to backup your photos? Best regards Marko Am Samstag, 14. I always backup first my photos in raw manner, right downloaded from the camera. then I do a copy and edit them with digikam here I sort them by date (albums) and index them (labels) - these files I can act on the date if necessary. and it is necessary because I add some "panels" (backpaper with text) as a legend for galleries and theses files are not dated like the photos - same problem with scanned argentic ones. I have only yet a problem with the html plugin, wich do use the raw writing order of the files in they folder to sort! last written last indexed in the html index page :-( I have a solution, but quite unpleasant: with konqueror cut the albums/folder to an other folder (~/tmp ?) and back on the digikam tree. like this all the files are written (hopefully!) in the right order - you lose the album preview, but it's quite easy to set jdd -- Bonne année à tous :-) http://www.dodin.net Quelques images: http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I tried it. By the way, I do not want to lose the album preview, because it is the right one. Is there really no easier solution? Why does Digikam use another order by data than konquerer? Of course, I can take a pencil and write down the unbackuped folders by using the order given in Digikam. In K3b I can search these unbackuped folders and burn them. This way is an unpleasant solution too, I think. Is there another way? I tried it. it works, even in digikam. create a new album, select the images, drag and drop in the new folder, html export will be good. the same thing works even if the sorting of image is used (I tryed that just now, with sorting by sise) > Of course, I can take a pencil and write down the unbackuped folders by using > the order given in Digikam. I don't really follow your point. my post quoted there up is about html export, not k3b? anyway, I name my albums by they day date, so sorting is not a problem :-) jdd -- http://www.dodin.net Quelques images: http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
