Digikam for Mac OS X?

Hi,
I'm wondering of anyone has succeeded in getting digikam to compile  
on OS X 10.4/intel? I have compiled KDE and it seems to run fine via  
Fink. Now I would love to get digikam to run, but it seems  
dependencies are missing.

Any hints are welcome.

I think that 0.9.0-svn will compile better than 0.8.x serie, because of imlib2
depency. But this is just the viewpoint from developper. I have never used a
mac before...
