Hi,
I made a quick search about this matter but I didn't found anything. When I use digikam map view functionality (mainly in tab, not with map main view which is very slow), I notice the data are not downloaded from Openstreetmap when I select this view mode. No matter with Google Map mode, nor with Marble Atlas map (I think because it's already in local). I've installed Marble and launch it to see if I get Openstreetmap data, and it's work well. Then I notice the downloaded areas using Marble, if I quit and restart Digikam are now visible, but if I'm going to an unexplored area in digikam, data still not loading and if I have Marble and Digikam running, I still have to quit Digikam and restart it to get newly explored areas using Marble (even if I change view mode in Digikam and go back to Openstreetmap mode). So, I would like to know if anybody else experienced this and if anybody have an idea of the matter origin. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 64 bits and the Philip Johnson PPA (actually digikam 2.7) Thanks -- Nicolas Boulesteix Photographe chasseur de lueurs http://www.photonoxx.fr _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Works for me here so I can't reproduce it.
Check which version of the package libkgeomap1 you have installed. Right now it should be versioned libkgeomap1 1.0~digikam2.7.0-precise~ppa4 if you use it from my PPA and Digikam 2.7 on Ubuntu 12.04. Think that could be the problem somehow... /Philip On Sat, Jul 14, 2012 at 3:13 PM, Photonoxx <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hi, > > I made a quick search about this matter but I didn't found anything. > > When I use digikam map view functionality (mainly in tab, not with map main > view which is very slow), I notice the data are not downloaded from > Openstreetmap when I select this view mode. > > No matter with Google Map mode, nor with Marble Atlas map (I think because > it's already in local). > > I've installed Marble and launch it to see if I get Openstreetmap data, and > it's work well. I'll correct myself. Your deb-package version of libkgeomap1 should be
1.0~digikam2.7.0-precise~ppa3 that's the latest on my PPA and nothing else at this point. /Philip On Sat, Jul 14, 2012 at 3:46 PM, Philip Johnsson <[hidden email]> wrote: > Works for me here so I can't reproduce it. > > Check which version of the package libkgeomap1 you have installed. > Right now it should be versioned libkgeomap1 > 1.0~digikam2.7.0-precise~ppa4 if you use it from my PPA and Digikam > 2.7 on Ubuntu 12.04. Thanks,
I just see Ubuntu keep some old packages from an old ppa I used before upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04. These packages wont update with your ppa package because the old version was 2.5 and yours was 1.0xxxx2.7xxxx. So I force the version to your ppa package, and now all run perfectly ! Thanks again !
