Today i had commited the source code of 0.9.0 in svn to 'trunk'. The code is
uncomplete and unstable. Take a care!
0.9.0 will support RAW files, 16 bits images, and ICC profiles (there is a new
lcms depency). Image files Meta-data will be supported better.
Actually digikam image editor always support 8 bits image fully, but 16 bits
images support is uncomplete, especially with image editor plugins. You can
load and save 16 bits images and operate basic operations on, but only one
plugins have been ported to 16 bits : BCG tool.
This is just a question of time. All plugins will be fixed progressivly.
Important : digiKam using now a dedicaced API to work on image : DImg. This is
want mean that imlib2 depency will be removed in 0.9.0.
