[Digikam-devel] Important: about digiKam 0.9.0-beta2

To all developers and people who want to make commits to svn repository:

The repository'll be frozen the nex friday, so you can make commits until  
September 9th, friday (include all the day). In this way I'll be able to work
on the new beta release on saturday.

So please, don't make any commit after this day, until the new release is out.

Congratulations to all developers, contributors, translators, .... You have
made a good work.

Paco,

Unforget to use the NEWS file from svn to prepare the announce. All new
features, fix, and bug reports closed are listed at the right place on this
file.

I think these informations are very importants for end users, especially
during beta stage.

Hello Paco,
I updated the doc section of digikamimageplugins to 0.9 release and tested
compilation. So this one is ready to go!

Gerhard, the documentation is not yet finalized... we will provide doc
packages later 0.9.0-rc, just before final release.

The beta release are dedicaced to publish only source code for testing.

about next job to do into digiKam handbook, i propose to dispatch all tasks
between possible doc writters.

I'm volumter to update the camera section where i have works very hard with
this 0.9.0-beta2 release. All is fresh in my mind (:=)))

I think that all the digiKam interface will not changes in the future. We must
only fix the most important B.K.O files (I have already started this job
about Tags component). This is want mean that all GUI screenshots can be
updated after this beta2.

About DigiKamImagePlugins handbook, all is done about source code
implementation. The handbook need to be updated (if necessary).

About showfoto handbook, i recommend to update the digiKam image editor part
in first and to backport later the contents to showfoto handbook.

All is right for you Gerhard ?

Marcel, Paco, are you interressed to fix some parts of digiKam handbook ?

That's what I meant this morning, the imageplugins are updated and ready in my
opinion, not showfoto or digikam.
