I'd like to be able to apply tags to albums just as they are applied to images. I think this could potentially just replace the album collection feature..?

Album collection is kind of tag for album. Isn't it satisfying?

Tags in digikam are a much more powerful feature--images can have many tags
whereas an album can only have one collection. Also, collections are defined
in a single list whereas tags are defined in a tree.

i think tags should be applicable to all entities, on the long run.

the advantage of the albums is that they correspond to the directory structure.. but they are also as limited as it
