http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128717
           Summary: Crash after selecting photo
           Product: digikam
           Version: 0.8.1
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: frank.loizzi gmx de

Version:           0.8.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs
Compiler:          gcc (GCC) 4.1.0 (SUSE Linux)
OS:                Linux

I use a Rollei D41com digital camera, and this is a variant of the widely used Skanhex (Taiwan) digital camera. digiKam auto detect my camera as "Concord EyeQ 4330 USB" and it is possible to connect to the camera. digiKam detect the right amount of images and displays the first one with thumbnail. All others are without thumbnail. If I click any of the images digiKam crashes. Sometimes with backtrace somtimes without. I add the last backtrace KDE reportet to me...

The backtrace is not suitable. Please compile and install digiKam usin ./configure --enable-debug=full option

I suspect a crash into libgphoto2...

and a fresh update of libgphoto2 ?

Many thanks in advance for any feedback!

Hello,

I didn't know that someone is still working on this bug. Unfortunately I no
longer use Linux in any way. But I will install Kubuntu in a virtual machine
and try the program in this way. Please stay tuned, I write back in a few
days...

Bye

Hi Frank,

it is very kind of you that you want to take the time and effort
to install Kubuntu and try the current version (BTW, 0.9.2 is out
and kubuntu packages do exist).

However, if this is too much of a hassle for you, we could just close
this bug - it seems that not many others had this problem (no further
votes). If it should come up again, this bug could easily
be re-opened or a new one created.

What do you think?

Best, Arnd
