[Digikam-devel] [Bug 121422] New: Do not open videos using ie

http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121422
Summary: Do not open videos using ie
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: Julien.Narboux inria fr

Version:            (using KDE Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources

I think it would be convenient if when you double click on a video in digikam it opens it with one of the applications in the list "open with" not the image editor.

I cannot reproduce it with mpeg, mpg, mov, avi, wmf, etc... Questions :

1/ Witch version of digiKam you using ?
2/ Witch video format you using ?
3/ The current code check if current album item is a image file only. Have you set a video mimetype in image file mime type list of setup dialog ?

1/ I am using 0.8.2svn
2/ .avi
3/ I did not set anything in the image file mime type list of setup dialog BUT there was .AVI. I removed and it worked. thanks

I do not why I used to have the .AVI, perhaps a configuration coming from an old digikam version or mandriva package ?

thank you very much

Certainly. The current code do not have any video file mime type with image file types by default.

I close this file.
