You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121314 Summary: More options to display the album tree Product: digikam Version: unspecified Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org ReportedBy: Julien.Narboux inria fr Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources I have quite many albums in my album tree. It would be easier imho if you had the possibility that when you double click on a album it would just display the children of this album like in a file browser. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Currently the tree structure is displayed as a tree with some hidden subtrees marked by a small cross. What i would prefer is just the same except that when you double click on an album say 'foo' which has some childreen say 'a' , 'b' and 'c' then the root of the tree displayed becomes the album 'foo' instead of the root of digikam database and it show ".." "a" "b" "c". The ".." item at the top is used to go up in the tree (cd ..). Example : I have some directories with albums inside: Friends, Familiy, Travel Each of them contains > 50 albums. If I double click on Family it would be nice to have only the sub albums of Family displayed. It is not exactly what I meant. What you implemented is useful when you have an album with many sub-albums containing a few pictures. You can have a quick view of what they contain. What I meant was quite the opposite. I suggested not a change in the view of the album content but a change in the album's tree. When you have many many albums, it is not very convenient to browse the whole tree, sometimes you want to focus in a subalbum. For instance you want to clean up your Familly picture. It would be nice if one could double click on the family album and then Digikam displays only the subtree of Familly on the left plus a button ".." to go up of one level in tree. I will attach a screenshot of gqview to show what I mean.
