Hi all,
After more than one year of active development, I pround to announce in this room than the 0.9.0 final release date is near. Thursday, I have talk with Gerhard Kulzer by phone. He is agree to do the final release tarballs and the announce before Christmas. But there are some points to fix before final release. From B.K.O, i have tagged some files with a VHI priority : http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134999 ==> this one is the must important and must be fixed before final release. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133944 ==> can be delayed later. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134037 ==> patch not yet tested. Can be delayed later. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136903 ==> require important changes in implementation. can be delayed later. About others "Crash" files from B.K.O, i have pinged all reporters. If there are no more feedback, we will ignore these files for final release and continue investiguations later. Also, in "metadata" component, some crash reports are relevant of Exiv2 0.11 or are dupplicate of 134999. we can ignore these files. So, if i resume, only #134999 must be fixed. Marcel, you have follow this file. Can you give us a recent feedback ? About me, i will go in holidays from Friday 22 december 2006 to 3 january 2007. I will have no phone, no computer, no internet during this period. For that, i propose to build release tarballs next week when #134999 will be fixed. Like this, i will be available to supports Gerhard with final release stuff... A nice week end Gilles _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

The problem is known, there is a patch, the patch works. So yes, it will be fixed. The only reason that I did not yet commit it is that I do not understand why we need to use strcmp and QString::operator= does not work. > > http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133944 > > ==> can be delayed later. No suitable backtrace, distribution-specific bug reports which have been closed. Don't know. > > http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134037 > > ==> patch not yet tested. Can be delayed later. I have not followed this really closely. Though I don't want to disappoint Debajyoti Bera ;-) > > http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136903 > > ==> require important changes in implementation. can be delayed later. I have not yet tried to reproduce this because I have no full partition available. > > About others "Crash" files from B.K.O, i have pinged all reporters.
