I HATE IT.
PLEASE, have proper progress information during file movement. PLEASE do not delete files that have not been written to target directory during moving files/albums. PLEASE WARN when something is not possible, like writing to some device. PLEASE CHECK THINGS PROPERLY when moving/writing/removing/copying files. I CAN NOT trust digikam any longer. Anyone knows a just semidecent alternative, that does file management properly? |

I have a look in the source code. We actually have a possible bug in the recursive copy function. I'll fix it tonight. Maik Am 01.09.2017 13:02 schrieb "Peter Mc Donough" <[hidden email]>: Am 31.08.2017 um 21:07 schrieb Anders Lund: |

Not sure what happened but if you decided to switch to something else you can try Fotoxx and maybe Geeqie. The problem of deleting the source files during the move can not occur when:
- within the album collection - between different albums collection which are on the same partition / volume. It can happen: The album collection exist on different partitions / volumes / drives and an error occurs when copying files to subdirectories. The bug will be fixed in digiKam-5.8.0. https://commits.kde.org/digikam/2938b5532e3befe3f54c1f0f1c2ee03975799028 Maik Am Freitag, 1. I can see a recent 5.7.0 installer for Windows and Mac but I don't see any source tarball for 5.7.0 in the KDE stable download directory. digikam.org has no announcement of 5.7.0 either. -- Brian Morrison "I am not young enough to know everything" Oscar Wilde |
Hi, The tarball is build by Nicolas (Mageia packager) who has tagged the git repository. So i'm waiting the upload of tarball on KDE server to post the announcement. Best Gilles Caulier 2017-09-03 12:39 GMT+02:00 Brian Morrison <[hidden email]>: On Fri, 01 Sep 2017 21:41:18 +0200 |
