There are two places settings information is stored. One is
~/.kde/share/config/dikamrc in there you will find the paths to the main
digikam database and also the thumbnails database. Secondly there is the
main digikam database that contains the path for the root of the albums.
So assuming you have moved your photos and database files to a new
location you need to update the paths in digikamrc which you can do with
any text editor. You also need to update the album root path in the
database for which you will need 'SQLite Database Browser'.
BTW you cannot send attachments to the list, they are stripped off.
