Digikam and KPhotoAlbum interoperability?

Hi all,

Are there any plans to allow Digikam and KPhotoAlbum to share data?  I
have a large investment in tagged KPhotoAlbum images, but I'd like to
use Digikam also.  They are both great programs, but work differently,
and I'd like to be able to leverage the functionality of both.  Thanks!
