Digikam Plugins - Batch processing?

Hi!

I have here exactly 3998 photos to make an small time lapse video. The first
1000 frames, shows deliquescing the snow. My Problem is, that the snow looks not
naturally white. ONLY the digikam filter Automatic colour adjustment give me the
perfect results.

Is there any way to make an batch processing for all images? I know, not with
digikam directly, but perhaps with an small shell script?

Wolfgang,

This is depend of witch auto-color tool you use in digiKam image editor :
Equalize, Normalize, Scretch Contrast, or the better for me, Auto-Levels.

With kipi-plugins Batch Color tool, witch use Image Magick, only 3 similar
filters are available :

Equalize, Normalize and Scretch Contrast. Auto-levels is not implemented in
ImageMagick.

Try it using Tools/Batch Processes/Color Images.

Hi Gilles!

Yes i think it is the Auto-Levels-Filter (I use the German translation of
digikam, with different terms :)

The Kipi/Image Magick filters are not so good for these task. I also tried
similar filters from The Gimp or Adobe Photoshop, but only Digikam gives me
the required solution.

But change each images from hand? I wan´t get grey hairs ;)

Really. I'm happy to hear this sound (:=)))... If digKam auto correction can
be better than Photoshop...

You is not the first guy to want a batch auto-level tool. Look here :

I can't export/use the auto-level algorithm from digiKam core to a
kipi-plugins without dupplicate a huge source code (witch is weird).

Perhaps a batch processing tool coded in digiKam core is the right solution...
It's not really complicated, but it's not a priority actually...

...or if there is an ImageMagick guru in this room, let's me hear. I use
standard ImageMagick command line style in Bach Color kipi-plugin.

Is it possible to do the thing with DCOP?

I think the BEST solution is something like "Macros". The user should be
able to record ALL steps. Later he can play the macro on some other images,
like the KIPI PlugIns. That would be perfect, but i think, it is an big job
for you ;-)

I think macros framework was promised for KDE4. Another solution is
Kross backend for Digikam (also in KDE4).
