Digikam Missing thumbnails

Jean
I was using Digikam 5.7 on KDE Neon (ppa-backport).

It worked fine until yesterday (2017-12-05). This morning I did an
upgrade proposed by the OS, but I do not know if it is related. Now I
have the same problem mentioned before by Shutterbug (2017-12-01 21:43
UTC) : No thumbnails are displayed in Digikam when you are in the
''Albums'' section. But you can see the 'thumbnails and preview, when
you select the Labels and Timeline sections. Deleting the databases or
starting with a new photos directory did not help.

So I restored my previous digikam databases and started using the
app-image (5.7) and everything is fine again.

Problem is relevant of last Qt 5.9.3. Next DK 5.8.0 will fix the problem.

DK 5.7.0 AppImage use Qt 5.9.1 internally.

Thank you.  I have the same problem in dK 5.7.0 in openSUSE Leap 42.3
with Qt updated to 5.9.3.  No thumbnails or images.  What I couldn't
work out was that under openSUSE Tumbleweed on this same machine with
the same physical dK database and album folders, dK 5.7.0 worked fine.

The answer seems to be that the Tumbleweed installation is using Qt
5.9.2, versus 5.9.3 in Leap 42.3.

Reasonable assumption?

Note: openSUSE Tumbleweed is now on Qt-5.9.3. But openSUSE Leap 42.3 does not
yet use Qt-5.9.3 unless an extra repository has been added. Leap 42.3 used
also digiKam-5.5.0.
