Ok perfect.
Other test please : if you can checkout current code from git/master, and test if my last commit work as expected. As 3.4.0 will be released this sunday, i would to be sure to not break something. Christoph,
Note that Metadata editor in digiKam is avalaible in Image/Metadata/Edit menu entry To change urgency tag, go to XMP view and Properties section. There is a Priority field which adjust xmp.photoshop.urgency Gilles Caulier 2013/8/30 Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]>: > Hi, Christoph, > > There is 2 tests to do : > > - In LR, assign a color label to an image and look if > xmp.photoshop.urgency XMP tag is changed with an integer value (0 to > 9). > > - In digiKam, using MetadataEdit kipi plugin, assign a numerical value > to xmp.photoshop.urgency XMP to an image, and import it to LR. Dear Giles, Lightroom (LR 4.4) does not save anything as xmp.photoshop.urgency. The colour flag is saved as xmp:Label="MyColour", where MyColour is the name given to the colour flag. By default this is yellow, green etc. Although on my system it is actually in German because LR was installed when the system language was German. One label I tested this with, I had defined to be "Report" and it shows up as such in xmp:Label.I just had Digikam 2.5 available (I might be able to get some time on Sunday to use version 3.x I am normally using it but it is not available on the current machine.). There the urgency was not saved to the sidecars file, even though I had this set as you described (Image/Metadata/Edit All Metadata; Edit XMP tab, Properties; Priority). Also, as soon as I click Apply the Priority vanishes again. In Digikam the normal Color Label is ignored when importing to Lightroom. Manually adding xmp:photoshop:urgency and variations doesn't seem to have any effect in LR. No colour label changes. If I can do some more, let me know. Tomorrow evening I have some further time and Sunday. I'm so surprised to see LR only set a translated string to indicate which color label is assigned to item. It will be the hell to manage with import/export operations. Can you take an item without CL and save XMP sidecar, and do the same with color label assigned. I would to compare content before and after assignement. If LR can generate XMP sidecar files, it's enough to hack. Ok, I build and install 3.4 yesterday and made some try this morning.
"Export" color label from Digikam to Capture NX 2 seems to work perfectly. Digikam write well urgency tag and Capture NX 2 take in count instantly (using Wine, not usable since edit windows display Red and Blue channel inverted, but color tag and thumbnail work well). On the other hand there's no import of color label from Capture NX 2 even if no digikam color label tag exists (I mean no tag at all and not 0 value where indeed tag exists), but may be it's normal. If color label is set in digikam and changed after that in Capture NX 2, Digikam stay at its color label and the two different values coexist until I tell digikam to write metadata in file, but this is more difficult to do I thing, and could probably have unexpected effects in case where more than one color label importable tag are set with different values in each. At less, it could be nice if label was imported when digikam color label doesn't exist yet, but it will have a small impact anyway, since Digikam seems to set color label to 0 the first time metadatas are set.
