Digikam 2.1.1 - Unable to import from camera.

Hi,

I've been happily using Digikam V1.2 running on Ubuntu Lucid LTS / Gnome
without problem.

Recently changed to Digikam 2.1.1 / Kubuntu 11.10 / KDE. The transition
went well, however I now find I'm unable to import from camera.

If I start Digikam from a terminal, when I try the import this is the
error message:

digikam(6417)/digikam (core): Failed to detect camera with GPhoto2 from
Solid information

Am able to access the camera from Dolphin or Gwenview.


Googling around it looks like it could be this bug.

Yes support for gphoto2 is disabled in the official Digikam 2.1.1
Ubuntu 11.10 packages.
