Hello everybody,
as planed ( ok i am some hours late :) ) digikam 2.0.0 is now available on sourceforge. https://sourceforge.net/projects/digikam/files/digikam/2.0.0/ I tested to compile on my machine which use kde 4.7. I compiled "normaly" => Worked OK I compiled then with DIGIKAMSC_USE_PRIVATE_KDEGRAPHICS=ON => Worked OK Please tell me if there is any build problem so we will be able to look and fix ( and provide a fixed tarball if needed ) Thanks a lot for you huge work. Thanks Nicolas for the release and tarball.
I will make the announcements when it's possible. I still in French Alps with a slow internet connection. I go back at home next monday. To all developers, 2.1.0 is now open for new implementations, features, and fixes. I already patched digiKam Camera Interface with a lots of optimization, fixes and improvements, especially to speed up connection and thumbs generation from camera. There are others pending patches in my list.
I plan to release 2.1.0 at end of august of first week of september. Gilles Caulier

Hello. I want to ask: A Windows Installer and a Mac package will be available soon?
digikam 1.7 under windows (from installer) works really horrible, even I wasn't unable to work with it. want to share this app with some of my friends that have nothing in common with coding and Linux based systems. Hi, I tested both digikam-2.0.0-rc and digikam-2.0.0 built for Fedora 16 with KDE 4.7.0. digikam-2.0.0 crashes in Apply Texture filter (and other filters) when moving Relief slider. No such crashes in digikam-2.0.0-rc. http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=BLHjCRcq Is this known regression? -- Alexey Kurov <[hidden email]> _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

No. I cannot reproduce it. Crash is in Qt4. Perhaps a binary incompatibility on your computer. Gilles Caulier _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Dear Mr. Gilles Caulier,
I tried clean installation of digiKam 2.0.0-win32, after deleting ".kde folder" from Roaming directory of Windows 7 to stand under influence from old software (RC version). The installation advanced smoothly. However, the construction of the database did not advance at all for over one hour. After cancellation of installation, I tried it again from the beginning, but the result was the same. Please advise of procedure I can do. Thank you very much in advance, Hidehiko Kunimoto (11/08/04 0:21), Gilles Caulier wrote: > After to have fight against windows for a while, file is here : > > http://digikam3rdparty.free.fr/misc.tarballs/temp/digiKam-installer-2.0.0-win32.exe > > Please test and report... > > Gilles Caulier > > 2011/8/2 Hidehiko Kunimoto<[hidden email]>: >> Dear Mr. Gilles Caulier, >> Thank you very much for providing excellent products. >> I'm happy to hear releasing digiKam 2.0.0 windows installer and an update >> of mac port. >> >> I could not find above info in your website, please inform me of when and >> where I cloud get those info. >> >> digiKam fan and beginner, >> Hidehoko Kunimoto >> >> >> (2011/07/29 6:03), Gilles Caulier wrote: >>> i will prepare 2.0.0 windows installer next monday >>> for mac, ask to macport to update digikam port file to 2.0.0. at >>> least, code source complie fine under my macbook using macport env. >>> gilles caulier >>> >>> 2011/7/28, Veaceslav Munteanu<[hidden email]>: >>>> Hello. Dear Mr. Gilles Caulier,
I am sorry to disturb you. I was able to complete installation by stopping the function of anti-virus software (Avast Pro) before installation performed. If bugs of the software and functional problems are found, I will timely report it.
