Does anyone have any experience of building/running Digikam 0.10 on a
Gnome based Ubuntu system? I currently run Digikam 0.9.5 beta on my xubuntu 8.10 system so I have all the KDE3 libraries installled. Would building Digikam 0.10 be similar to building Digikam 0.9.5 but (presumably) needing more libraries? -- Chris Green _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

It's the 0.10- svn version and meant for Kubuntu 8.10, but there's no big difference in compiling Digikam for Ubuntu. There are a lot of dependencies you need to install, but it's all written down at http://wiki.kde.org/tiki- index.php?page=Digikam+Compilation+on+Kubuntu+Intrepid. Yes it's possible, as long I finally succeed to do it, but it's not so easy because of a lot of dependencies which are not in repository (with the goofd version numbers anyway). I use the KDEsvn.build script to build a part of svn KDE in ~/kde folder, i have to get and compile the last version of cmake too (it's a very failsafe thing to do... as long CMAKE 2.6 from repository is not sufficient ;-)), there's too a lot of dependencies which can be install from repository (hopefully). So the answer is yes ! Good build !
