Hi, I've compiled digikam 0.10 SVN yesterday, it is tagged as RC2. Being a long time user of digikam & showfoto 0.9 stable (I was using Ubuntu 8.10 default version), I have to say I am totally impressed. I can only say, thank you Gilles and the dev team!!!!
Now the question: the "Geolocation" tab on the right panel shows correctly in the world map the location of my photos. It also displays the country boundaries. Now the problem is that the country/city/town names have disappeared. I remember they were there the first time I ran digikam. After a couple of runs, they went away. This happens in both ImageEditor and the main digikam window. Curiously, the "Map Searches" tab in the left panel does show the country/city names. Any suggestion to get the names back in the Geolocation tab? Thanks |

This is certainly an option missing in warble widget object constructor. I'm not sure. Also, look if your behavour is true at all zoom levels. The behaviour of the Geolocation Tab is the same at all zoom levels, there are no names displayed anywhere in the worldmap. The only text displayed in the world map is the filename of my photo.
On the other side, in the "Map Searches" tab, names are displayed at all zoom levels, and the more you zoom the more names you get (smaller towns &etc), its really nice. Is there a way to "reset" the Geolocation tab preferences? I remember that the first run of digikam did show the names.

Now I could find a way to reproduce the issue - and it seems like a bug; when the photo is geotagged, there are no city names in the geolocation tab. When a photo is not geotagged, then the country/city names show up.
