DigiKam 4.4 Dates view display problem

Mark Fraser
Just upgraded to 4.4 using Philip's PPAs in Kubuntu 14.04 and I've noticed
that when I use the dates view there are 2 months (June 2013 and September
2014) I am unable to get it to display correctly.

For one of them the scroll bar doesn't display when it should. They are
grouped by album of which there are 3 for this month and if the window resized
to only show the top 2 albums, there is no scroll bar to scroll to the bottom
album.

For the other, images disappear and reappear and I am only able to select the
first image. All others just display a filled in white square when I click on
them.

Looks like it happens if I set digikam to sort images by date, any other
sorting and the images are displayed correctly.
