Defining a short-key for grouping

I just tried to define F7 as a short-key to group several pictures, but it doesn't seem to work: the short-key has been recorded by Digikam, but F7 still gives no result.
Is there a special trick to perform in order to make it work?

Oups! Just saw it in the menu: it seems to be the grouping for display (simple list/album/format), and I thought it was related to put several pictures in one group!

Is there no possibility to create a shortkey for grouping/degrouping several pictures? I find it quite tiresome to have to right click every time I have selected a couple of pictures.
