Hi,
Just a small question to know if it's planned to add cross compatibility to how Color and pick label are write in XMP, because, for the moment it seems to be wrote only in the "Digikam Schema" XMP directory. Color label have an existent equivalent in the "Adobe Photoshop" XMP directory as "Urgency", CaptureNX 2 use it (and Fotoware Fotostation too I think). Another entry exist in XMP.xmp.Label, but I don't know how it works since, for the moment, the content of this label is write in french (for example, the Red color label, Digikam tag is set to "1" as photoshop's one, but xmp.label tag is set to "rouge"). It's quite disappointing since the Digikam tool for editing metadata (Image/Metadata menu entry) offers to set this tag (in XMP/Property tab under the name "priority") at less for the Photoshop directory (which is recognized for Capture NX 2). For the pick label, if I remember well Fotostation had something similar but it makes a long time I tried it. It could be nice if you could resume all values written by pro-software in dedicated tags.
By values, i want mean the contents written in tags depending of user choice in GUI about Labels. For ex, digiKam write a number depending of color selected for Pick Color label : Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier

In fact, It seems that for Color label the content is almost the same for
Photoshop and Digikam XMP directory. 0 for no Color label 1 Red 2 Orange 3 Yellow 4 Green 5 light Blue And here color changes but the content just are number from 1 to 9 6 darker blue 7 Violet 8 Purple 9 Pink Probably you could see what is set if you look what Metadata kipiplugin do when it set the priority tag. May be I don't understand what you need ? If you want, I could prepare and send you a pack of picture set with each color label under Capture NX 2, it's may be more usefull to you ? I take a screenshot too : http://photonoxx.free.fr/digikamNX2/Capture-8.png On this you can see the color label list and : the numbers are the content of the urgency tag and the word are the contents of the "basic schema" label tag. For the pick label, I don't use anymore Fotostation, but may be I could try it again and see...
