Copying part of the gallery

Vladimir-18
Hello All !

I'm using digikam on my desktop and have over 10GB photos in it's galleries
with lots of tags, ratings and comments. Now I've got laptop and want to
copy some of my photos on it (to be able to show them to my friends), but
not the whole gallery since it's too large. Are there any way to do it
preserving all context information (tags, ratings and comments) ?

You can simply copy the files you want and the digikamX.db file. When you open
it all photos which aren´t copied are removed from the database. That means
that you can show them, but cannot move the information back to you computer.
