Hi everyone,
I am looking for a way to copy the information stored in the database directly into the files (such as EXIF orientation tags, IPTC tags, etc). Is there a simple way to do so? The reason is I would like to be able to get my pix tagged whatever viewer is used. Any help is appreciated. Kind regards, Joffrey _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

And storing tags in images as IPTC data is easy: First, go to the configuration menu of Digikam (Settings -> Configure digikam). Under the "Metadata" entry, ensure that "Save Image tags as keywords tag" is selected. From that point on, whenever you tag an image in Digikam, the tag will also be stored as an IPTC Keyword. (You can verify this by checking the IPTC data for images: Image -> Metadata -> Edit IPTC) You can also update the metadata of images you have previously tagged. Use Album -> "Synchronize Images with Database". Please make sure you have a backup of your images before making any changes - just in case! Hope this helps. cheers, tauri _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Thank you for your answer!
I noticed that this is the second time I submit this question to the mail list. So sorry for that. (I have not subscribed before and therefore could not receive the answers) Cheers, Joffrey On Tue, Mar 4, 2008 at 1:10 PM, <[hidden email]> wrote: Hi Joffrey, _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
