New to digiKam, and so far I've been able to answer all of my questions with the documentation. This one, however, has me stumped. I'm running the 7.0.0 beta.
I store my images as raws (ORF) and TIFF. The TIFFs are the working (developed and altered) images; in some rare cases I may have a JPG as well, which is a distribution version.
In digiKam I group my images by filename, which gives me one thumbnail per image to look at. In a large album, this makes it easier to quickly scroll through to find a specific image.
The only thing I don't like, and I can't find how to change, is which image is on top of the group (the image which is visible when in Thumbnails mode.) Apparently digiKam chooses the raw in preference to the TIFF, and all I see on the top is the raw image. I want to see the TIFF.
I've tried changing the sort order before grouping the images by filename, and ordering them descending so the TIFF comes first, but it doesn't seem to change the behavior — the raw is still on top.
I've not yet found anything in the documentation which addresses this.
Is there a way to change the sort order inside the groups, to alter which image is on top?
