Hello,
I have been using Digikam for some years but now find that the latest version ( 3.5.0) doesn't appear to recognise my camera. Using 3.4.0 my Canon EOS 6D is recognised and I can transfer images OK, but the latest version gives the message: 'The specified camera ("/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0f.3/usb1/1-8/1-8:1.0") is not supported.' Thanks for any help Bob _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Problem is relevant of Gphoto2 shared library used by digiKam to
transfert images from Canon Camera. Ask to Gphoto2 team. Thanks for that Gilles, I will try there.

Hello Again Gilles, On 24/04/14 15:38, Gilles Caulier wrote: > Problem is relevant of Gphoto2 shared library used by digiKam to > transfert images from Canon Camera. > > Ask to Gphoto2 team. They have referred me back to Digikam. It would appear that the Gphoto2 shared library may not be the problem as using the command line command: gphoto2 -P the camera is accessed and the images are downloaded correctly. The problem may be with KDE/Digikam? Thanks Bob >> Hello, >> I have been using Digikam for some years but now find that the latest >> version ( 3.5.0) doesn't appear to recognise my camera. Well, more in the deamon which mount the device in fact. the original message :
'The specified camera ("/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0f.3/usb1/1-8/1-8:1.0") is not supported.' do not come from digiKam as well, but from KDE Solid interface... Thanks again Gilles,

OK - if this is the case where should I go to for resolution of the problem? It is strange that this hasn't affected others? Try to report this problem to KDE Solid team. It's possible that it's
a side effect of a low level component from your distro... It seems strange that both Dolphin and Gwenview can access the camera
but Digikam can't? Bob > Try to report this problem to KDE Solid team.
