I get the following message each time I try to delete pictures in Digikam "The trash has reached its maximum size! Cleanup the trash manually." I've cleaned the ordinary trash ("Corbeile" that appears on the "Bureau) but it doesn't solve the problem. Is there any other file that have to be cleaned too? As a first try, you might check if the disk where the trash is stored is getting full (the trashcan might reject a file if the disk has less than say 10Gb free) Remco _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Trash is a container managed by desktop. Do you use Gnome or KDE ?
It's definitively a bug from your dektop, not digiKam. digiKam send file to trash through delegate API (kdelibs) which pass file to lead desktop. All other operation are managed in top level by desktop. Gilles Caulier 2011/6/11 Remco Viëtor <[hidden email]>

I found a workaround after a bit of googling (I don't use KDE):
delete the ~/.local/share/Trash/metadata HTH Eric Gilles Caulier thus spake on 11/06/11 12:17: > Trash is a container managed by desktop. But which KDELibs you use with digiKam ? Go to "Help/Components Info" for details.
The wrapper with desktop trash is provided by KDELibs... I think that problem is here... Gilles Caulier

Also, run kdebugdialog and turn on digiKam, and kdelibs debug space. Run digiKam in a console and look trace when file is sent to the trash

Didn't find exactly the ones you wrote about, so I selected the 5 Digikams (50003 to 50007) and kdecore (library), and got this trace; digikam(9545)/digikam (core) Digikam::DeleteDialog::slotUser1Clicked: setShowTrashDeleteDialog true digikam(9545)/digikam (core) Digikam::DIO::del: Files to delete : (KUrl("file:///home/marie-noelle/Digikam/Photos/A supprimer/IMG_6214.CR2") ) QDBusObjectPath: invalid path "" digikam(9545)/digikam (core) Digikam::AlbumManager::slotKioFilesAdded: "/home/marie-noelle/.local/share/Trash/files/IMG_6214.CR2" digikam(9545)/digikam (core) Digikam::AlbumManager::slotKioFileMoved: "file:///home/marie-noelle/Digikam/Photos/A%20supprimer/IMG_6214.CR2" "trash:/IMG_6214.CR2" digikam(9545)/digikam (core) Digikam::AlbumManager::handleKioNotification: KDirNotify detected file change at "/home/marie-noelle/Digikam/Photos/A supprimer" digikam(9545)/digikam (core) Digikam::AlbumManager::slotKioFilesAdded: "trash:/" digikam(9545)/digikam (core) Digikam::AlbumManager::slotKioFilesDeleted: ("file:///home/marie-noelle/Digikam/Photos/A%20supprimer/IMG_6214.CR2") digikam(9545)/digikam (core) Digikam::AlbumManager::handleKioNotification: KDirNotify detected file change at "/home/marie-noelle/Digikam/Photos/A supprimer" digikam(9545)/digikam (core) Digikam::AlbumManager::slotDirWatchDirty: KDirWatch detected change at "/home/marie-noelle/Digikam/Photos/A supprimer" No itemShortInfo could be retrieved from the database for image "IMG_6214.CR2" Is that helpful?
