Can't delete images (1.0.0 for KDE4.4.60 on Windows)

I have finally got digiKam 1.0.0 compiled, so I'm trying out some of the things that didn't work for me in beta5.  I tried to delete a file, and got this error "The process for the trash protocol died unexpectedly".

Is this a known bug?
