Calender view

Bruno Berck
Hi,

In calendar view, pictures are organized by exif date or by last
modified date. What is happening with videos? I converted MOV videos to
MP4 with ffmpeg but they are sorted on the date convertion. Is it
possible to sorton the realdate of creation of the video?

Thanks

Hi,

Video metadata file will be managed properly by Exiv2 at next release.
It's implemented since summer 2012 (thanks GoSC) and improved this
summer again, but we wait Exiv2 team here...

In digiKam all is ready to manage video file metadata, as for Photo.

But until Exiv2 still unreleased with this feature, digiKam will be
not able to extract video creation date from metadata, and will use
file system dates instead...

Best

Gilles
