Hi,
I just installed digikam 1.8 on ubuntu 10.10 through the PPA archive on launchpad. As I'm new to digikam, I don't know yet what all the buttons mean, so I hold the mouse still on the buttons to see the alt-tag appear (text) to get more information. This alt-tag is dark grey text on a black background, and hence hardly readable. Can I change this somewhere in a setting?
Best regards, Cedric

+1 from me.
Tooltips are practically unreadable to almost all themes.... Only the very dark themes have readable tooltips, but all the others have dark text over dark background. I was searching today the whole morning to find the theme files and tweak them, but I was unable to locate them. Isn't there a way of just using system colors on tooltips? I fixed that in Digikam 1.6, 1.7 in Ubuntu 10.10 by running "qtconfig"
and choosing "Cleanlooks" as gui style. You might have to fiddle with the palette, too. hope this helps, greetings Gerben On 04-02-11 08:37, Bill Yiannakos wrote: > +1 from me. > Tooltips are practically unreadable to almost all themes....
