Package: digikam
Version: 4:2.6.0-1+b1 Severity: normal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear Maintainer, thanks for all you do! :) Using the Map Search, I can Ctrl-LeftMouseButton drag to draw a dotted-line rectagle around items shown on the map, but those items are not selected (not listed in the thumbnail view). I enjoyed the Map Search feature working before testing updated digikam to version 2. I've blown away any config file/directory I could find, even my database, to try and start from scratch. Geocoded items do display on the Map Search map. It seems strange to me I can't find any mention of this problem, so I'm guessing it's just me. It'll be nice to hear if that's the case, and any pointers on how to troubleshoot. I don't know in what version of Digikam those buttons became available. My confusion came from the change from prior selection behavior (Ctrl-LeftMouseButton drag to draw a dotted-line rectagle around items shown on the map) to use of the "Search by area:" buttons. Current (2012-12) Digikam documentation <http://digikam.org/docs> still suggests the old incorrect instruction for Map Search <http://docs.kde.org/development/en/extragear-graphics/digikam/using-kapp.html#idp34013024>. Sorry for the noise.
