Hi,
I build digikam-2.0.0, 2.1.0 and 2.1.1 for personal use. I attached the
debian.tar.gz files for others to take a look, to test and to improve.
Perhaps it even helps my Debian colleges to get an official digikam 2
into Debian sooner.
As already noticed, the main problem of digikam-2 is, that a lot of
other libraries and sub-projects are included with the tar.bz2, which
are mostly packaged independently in older versions. I tried to split
those sub-components into their own binary packages, which should
simplify switching to the official packages as soon as they are
released.
There was a cmake problem with libqjson-dev, which shipped an
incompatible cmake file. I had to patch some cmake rules to make it
build. Since a new libqjson package was released after that, the change
to digikam might now be obsolete, but I didn't test.
Keep up the good work.
BYtE
