Bug#584289: digikam: Can access PTP camera only as root (Nikon L20)

Since a few days Digikam can only access my camera if it is run as root.
This happens both with 1.2.0-2 and 1.2.0-3. It happens with both kernels
2.6.34 and 2.6.32, so I would rather believe this was introduced by the
upgrade to kde 4.4.4.

The error is the standard one: "Failed to connect to the camera. Please
make sure it is connected properly and turned on. Would you like to try
again?"

Please request any other information and I'll hapilly try to provide it.
