I have just uploaded libexiv2-0_0.14-2 which fixes a number of crashes issues
with jpeg & tiff files.

Can you install and report if this fixes your issue.

Thanks for your effort, btw. I did install it, digikam (now version
0.9.2-beta3) still crashes.
